Progress on Version 0.0.03 (releasing soon!)
So it's been a long while since the last devlog was posted here. 0.0.03 has ended up becoming much more than I had initially planed. As of now, I am working on the game's major systems, such as the inventory and monsters. I'm also working on two new mini games, such as a siege and the prior-mentioned sandbox mode, that utilize these systems. I intend to pursue sandbox to make the game have as much content as possible to mess around with. Siege is still in early development, but it is coming along strongly. Some things to look forwards to: Sandbox mode, Entity spawn cores, Eyelings (new enemy), the Dev Pistol, Siege mode, vastly improved settings menu with customizable controls, and a whole lot of fixes and improvements.
I intend for a Windows version to be available alongside the Mac version at the same time. Right now, I'll need a friend who can help me out with this (This is not a request, I have that part handled) but I will need a more reliable method of packaging for windows down the road.
I started this devlog post 172 days ago and I'm only now publishing it. Even some of the images here are outdated! I'd also like to say than I have an update for Unsafe For Retail coming "soon" as well. 0.0.03, on the other hand, should be either tonight or tomorrow. Remember that the game is still in pre-alpha. The main point of sharing the progress is just to show a lot of the game's systems and functions, not exactly for being a game. That said, let me know what you think about the gameplay in the comments! I can use any feedback I get.
